This workstream addresses talent attraction, capability development, and education, supporting organisations and individuals in developing the skills and pathways needed to attract young recruits and ensure a resilient procurement profession.

Improving how maritime procurement systems work together

This workstream focuses on procurement digitalisation, data harmonisation, and the effective use of technology, including AI, to improve efficiency, transparency, and interoperability across maritime supply chains.

Developing and improving regulatory compliant standards

This workstream focuses on developing and continuously improving regulatory compliant standards that can be easily adapted by maritime companies, requiring counter parts' legal review only once. The project will not address the practical implementation of the aforementioned regulatory compliant standards.

IMPA London 2026

The GMPC will convene in London for in-person meetings and working sessions during IMPA’s flagship annual event, and the two-day schedule will also feature the GMPC’s work in the programme.

IMPA Singapore 2026

GMPC members will meet in Singapore to continue workstream discussions and engage with the wider maritime procurement community.
